Davey  and  charlie  shared  half  a  box  of crackers.

so  if  the  box  had  40  left  then  they  ate  40.

They  had  40  and   the  box  had  40  add  those  two  40+40=80  I  got  80.

So  the  answer  is  80  crackers  altogether.
